A portable immobilizing device(a proposed variant)
Standard medical splints made by the factory from wire or wood is used mainly by professionals (the ambulance staff). In other cases it is necessary to use improvised splints for example pieces of plywood、 boards、 sticks、 bunches of twigs、 stripes of solid cardboard、 ect. If there are no bandages all these things are tired by towels、 pieces of cloth、 kerchieves and scarves. But it is very in convenient. More than that. They do not meet basic requirements: there is no necessary stretching of the broken extremity and combining fragments mate. As a result、 pressure of fragments causes pain and shock.
The proposed portable bones retainer (holder) is a multiblock system、 which is easy to use.
Field of application: Traumatology、 first-aid kits in cars and public transport.
Aim: can be used for immobilization of extremities while carrying victims with injuries to the hospital as even a short travel without immobilization can cause the damage of nerves and blood vessels which are near the broken bones. In cases of poor immobilization the patient can fiend himself in a very bad condition with shock of different genesis (original)
Description: Splints represent a polyurethane plate of special form (reusable) with a set of locking device with fasteners Velcro for easy modeling according to the size of the extremity.
Advantages:
Light and compact. Does not occupy much space.Universal and easy to use.
Adapted for any size. Easily and tightly modeled on the shape of the limb and do not require additional action.It is not necessary to have for fixing blending skills fixing bandages.
X-ray transparent.Low cost of production. Easily adjustable in length.Sturdy but light.
