The sound compass has been designed as a test device、 whose work is based on a binaural effect、 for automatic positioning to a sound source. Mathematical model of the device involves work with four microphones、 along with that the direction to a sound source vertically and horizontally is detected by a pair of microphones.
The facility is designed on the basis of the device family and Arduino hardware and software. The software includes a plate-free software shell (IDE) aimed to develop codes、 compile them and program devices. The hardware consists of a set of mounted printed circuit cards and fabricated devices (microphones、 servodrives、 etc.). Arduino has a totally open architecture.
The components of the facility are printed on 3-D printer from ecologically pure PLA plastic.
