Inpatient Tracking System

Description of Invention

Patients admitted to a psychiatric hospital usually have severe behavioural or emotional problems. Hence、 they present significant risks such as violence、 suicide、 self-harm and abscondment、 not only to themselves but、 also to staff and fellow patients.
It is important to properly monitor patients during their admission as violence (towards self or others) leads to injuries and unfortunately disability if the violence is grave. Restraint or more sedating medication is used at times to ensure safety、 but these methods have issues of their own.
The current means of monitoring patients depends largely on manual methods--both in terms of eyes on patients、 and taking vital parameters using traditional methods. Such means、 though familiar and straight-forward、 are inefficient.
Patients with suicidal、 self-harm or violence tendency due to depression、 schizophrenia or bipolar disorder as well as ADHD patients will benefit most from this solution. This innovation helps to create an ecosystem that will elevate the well-being of psychiatric patients、 as well as to closely monitor these patient for avoidance of catastrophic consequences within an acute psychiatric facility.
