Through a project for supporting facilities for people with disabilities, I found that some people who can use only one hand due to an accident or disease receive training to participate in social activities using PCs and other information technology devices. However, some people spend a great deal of time completing tasks on a PC or cannot operate a PC without assistance, because they cannot press two or more keys, such as Shift, Ctrl and Alt, at the same time. I created this device as a solution to this problem. Because the range of meaning covered by the phrase "people who can use only one hand" varies depending on the disability, this kind of device tends to be exclusive to a specific person. However, I made this device compatible with a wide variety of people by creating detachable switches so that users can change the combination of the keys based on their disability(s).
